.NAME Domains
Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained online.
Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific stipulations on who can buy a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
The dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your native language.
